Gregory M. Hasty graduated from the University of Texas Arlington with a communications degree. He wrote for the Texas Tech paper, The University Daily, and wrote articles for American Dawn Magazine and Lit Monthly. Hasty was an FM DJ in college and worked at an ABC affiliate station in Lubbock, Texas, where he was a DJ and music director. T.J. Hooker Taylor is a native of Kansas City and grandson of famed KC Baptist minister Rev. Isaac Hooker. He began entertaining at the early age of 10 singing gospel and developed a repertoire much like his father. He sang with The Young Golden Voices and auditioned for Motown Records at Aretha Franklin’s home. He has been performing now for over 50 years and is a distinctive feature of the Kansas City music scene. Hooker Taylor has released several albums and Eps, and continues to tour singing both his original material and his father’s greatest hits.
